The library provides current DACC faculty, students, and staff a digital New York Times account with your nmsu.edu or dacc.nmsu.edu email, also called a Group Pass.
Once you create an account, you can log in to access the Times from any device by going to nytimes.com
*You must reauthorize your account, or Group Pass, annually.
Step 1: Navigate to www.accessnyt.com
Step 2: Search for and select "Doña Ana Community College – Las Cruces, NM"
You will be redirected to the NYT registration page.
Step 3: Click "Create Account." You must use your nmsu.edu or dacc.nmsu.edu email.
Step 4: Verify your account (you will receive a confirmation email)*
* The confirmation email may be routed to your spam folder. You must click the link in this email to complete the registration.
Mobile access
Access for smartphones and tablets is provided with the Library's subscription. Download the app on your device and log in using your NY Times account credentials created above.
Chronicle of Higher Education (chronicle.com)
The library provides current DACC faculty, students, and staff a digital account for the Chronicle of Higher Education with your nmsu.edu or dacc.nmsu.edu email, too.
Once you create an account, you can log in to access The Chronicle from any device by going to chronicle.com
The Chronicle of Higher Education is the leading source of news and commentary about the events, people, and issues shaping higher education.
By using The Chronicle through the library, you get the complete contents of the latest issue; daily news and advice columns; thousands of current job listings; an archive of previously published content; vibrant discussion forums; and career-building tools such as online CV management, salary databases, and more.
How to Set Up Your Account
1. Visit Chronicle.com, and complete the information requested in the form. You must use your dacc.nmsu.edu or nmsu.edu email account. You will receive an email to confirm your registration and activate your account and create a password of your choice.

Newsbank
Newsbank is an online, searchable database providing access to three New Mexico newspapers: Albuquerque Journal (1995-present), Santa Fe New Mexican (1994-present), and Roswell Daily Record (2002-present). Each paper provides unique coverage of local and regional news, including companies, politics, sports, industries, cultural activities, and people in the community. Paid ads are excluded.
1) Find Newsbank in the list of library databases and click on the link. If you are off campus you will prompted to sign in with your MyNMSU credentials.
2) Then choose the title of the newspaper you would like read.
3) and then the date you would like to read.
Both the Espina and East Mesa Campuses have current print subscriptions to the Las Cruces Sun-News and the El Paso Times, and we retain them for 8 days. Occasionally the papers may arrive a few days late, so feel free to contact us to see if the date you want has arrived.
