Welcome to the DACC Library's Search Everything Box. While it doesn't really search everything, it does search alot.
Check Me Out from the DACC Library
As part of the NMSU System, the DACC Library Search Everything Box searches all 4 libraries for print books and other physical items--NMSU, DACC, Alamogordo, and Grants. If you find a physical item you are interesed in, but it is not at your library, you simply "request" it. You must be signed in to see this option.
The item will then be sent to the library of your choice so you can borrow it for 3 weeks with up to 2 renewals. And you can return physical library materials to any library in the system.
Access Me from the DACC Library Website
eBooks can also be found in the DACC Library's Search Everything Box, you must be signed in to see the full-text, but unlike physical items, you must be a DACC student to access DACC electronic materials. And the same goes for the other 3 libraries in the NMSU system.
How to use the Search Everything Box
How will you look for information? What techniques or hacks will you use in the tools you choose?
Explore these helpful strategies.
The words you choose matter; select search terms with care. Avoid putting your search in the form of a question.
Put 2 or more words inside quotation marks to turn them into a single word; so "black cat" looks for results with these 2 words as a phrase. Without the quotation marks, the tool will look for the words black and cat anywhere in the results.
Search tools usually make suggestions for keywords and search terms as you type in the search box - Use them!
Overwhelmed by search results? Limit by picking filters such as date or source type (academic journal, ebook, etc.) on the left hand side of the screen
The Search Everything box searches the DACC and NMSU System library catalog and most DACC Library databases all at once. You can limit your results by using the options on the left of the search results page, or by using the Advanced Search.
